ONLINE LEARNING TRIAL

Welcome to the Building Essential Skills Online Learning Trial

The online learning trial is aimed specifically at office staff working for construction companies that are located in the East of England. Through the trial we hope to get feedback that will help to develop an effective learning process designed to improve levels of numeracy and literacy.

The trial is in three stages listed below. It is important that you work through the stages in the order they are listed.

1. Interactive questionnaire
These 27 multi-choice questions are designed to highlight ability levels. Your results will be displayed at the end for only you to see and to be printed out if you wish. If you find any too difficult click on the ‘brush up’ button and move on to the next.

2. Online learning exercise
This learning opportunity of 13 tasks is designed to enable you to experience an interactive numeracy and literacy training exercise. We have customised it to make it more relevant and interesting to your job in construction, complete as many as you can and let us know what you think.

3. Feedback
The third stage of the trial for you to provide feedback about stages 1 and 2, using a short electronic review form. The feedback that you provide will help to influence the final learning package.
